Check a website's Google Analytics and Tag Manager
Type the address: Veezco reads the homepage and tells you whether Google Analytics 4, Tag Manager and the Google Ads tag are there, each with its ID.
Google Tag Manager: not found
The homepage HTML has no Google Tag Manager.
Google Analytics 4: found
Property G-8XK2P4M1QZ is on the homepage.
Google Ads: not found
The homepage HTML has no Google Ads code.

Tag Manager
The container ID (GTM-…) or the gtm.js script. If it's there, the other tags may be loaded from it, and we say so.
Google Analytics 4
The G-… property in the gtag.js script or its config. The old Universal Analytics (UA-…) is flagged separately: Google switched it off in 2023.
Google Ads
The AW-… conversion ID or the conversion call: it shows the business measures its campaigns.
Three answers, never a guess
A check from outside sees the HTML the site sends, not what scripts add later. That is why there are three answers.
- Found
We read it, and it is there. With proof: the ID, the record, the piece of code.
- Not found
We read it, and it is not there. We only say so when the page could have contained it.
- Not read
It couldn't be read, and we tell you why: Tag Manager, a timeout, a robots.txt. It's not a no.
Why it matters
Without Analytics a business doesn't know how many people visit its site or where they come from; without the Google Ads tag it pays for campaigns without knowing which ones bring customers. These are the two questions every owner asks, and a consultant can fix them in an afternoon.
The check also tells you if the old Universal Analytics is still there: a site with only that has measured nothing since July 2023.
Frequently asked questions
How can I see if a website uses Google Analytics?
Type the address above: the check reads the homepage and looks for the Google Analytics 4 G-… property. If the site uses Tag Manager, Analytics may be loaded from there: in that case we tell you it can't be seen from outside, instead of saying it's missing.
What's the difference between Tag Manager and Analytics?
Tag Manager is a container: on its own it measures nothing, it loads the other tags (Analytics, Ads, the Meta Pixel). Analytics is the code that counts visits. A site can have Tag Manager with Analytics inside it: that's why, if we find Tag Manager, we don't say Analytics is missing.
The site still has Universal Analytics: is that a problem?
Yes: Google stopped collecting data with Universal Analytics on 1 July 2023. If the site has only that, visits are no longer measured.
Do you store the sites I check?
No. The result stays in memory for ten minutes, so the same site isn't read twice if you check it again, then it's gone. To stop abuse we count how many checks come from each IP address, without storing the address.
Can I find businesses without Analytics?
Yes: on Veezco type, for example, “restaurants in Dublin without Analytics”. Veezco searches live and only shows businesses whose website it actually read. Your first 25 leads are free every month, no card.
