Check a website's SSL certificate
Type the address: Veezco connects to the site like a browser and tells you whether the certificate is valid, who issued it, when it expires and whether the homepage loads anything over http.
Certificate: valid
Issued by Let's Encrypt, expires on 19 December 2026 (in 67 days). Covers: pizzeriamario.example, www.pizzeriamario.example.
HTTPS: yes
The homepage opens on https.
Insecure content: yes
The page is on https but loads an image over http: http://www.pizzeriamario.example/menu-autunno.jpg. Browsers may block or flag it.

Start freeWhat it checks
The certificate
Who issued it, until when it is valid and which names it covers. And whether browsers accept it: expired, self-signed or for the wrong name, it tells you why.
HTTPS
Whether the homepage opens on https or only on http. Browsers mark http-only sites as “not secure”.
Insecure content
Scripts, images and iframes loaded over http by an https page: browsers block or flag them.
Three answers, never a guess
A check from outside sees the HTML the site sends, not what scripts add later. That is why there are three answers.
- Found
We read it, and it is there. With proof: the ID, the record, the piece of code.
- Not found
We read it, and it is not there. We only say so when the page could have contained it.
- Not read
It couldn't be read, and we tell you why: Tag Manager, a timeout, a robots.txt. It's not a no.
Why it matters
An expired certificate shows a full-page warning before the site, and most people turn back. It happens more often than you would think: auto-renewal stops and nobody notices.
For anyone selling websites and maintenance, it's the easiest problem to show: it's visible from any phone.
Frequently asked questions
How do I check if a website's SSL certificate is valid?
Type the address above: the check opens a secure connection to the site, reads the certificate and tells you whether browsers accept it, who issued it and when it expires. If they don't, it tells you why.
What does “port 443 is closed” mean?
That nothing on the site is listening for https: the site has no certificate, and only opens on http, if at all.
Why does it sometimes say “not read”?
Because the site or its DNS didn't answer in time: a slow server is not a site without https, and we don't say it is. Try again in a few minutes.
Do you store the sites I check?
No. The result stays in memory for ten minutes, so the same site isn't read twice if you check it again, then it's gone. To stop abuse we count how many checks come from each IP address, without storing the address.
Can I find businesses without SSL in my city?
Yes: on Veezco type, for example, “dentists in Birmingham without SSL”. Veezco searches live, checks each website and gives you the contacts. Your first 25 leads are free every month, no card.
