Is the website mobile-friendly?
Type the address: Veezco reads the homepage and tells you whether it declares the screen width, lets people zoom, makes the number tap-to-call, how heavy the HTML is and how long the server takes to answer.
Mobile-friendly: yes
The page declares the phone's width (meta viewport).
Width: the phone's
width=device-width: the page is drawn as wide as the screen, instead of as a shrunken desktop.
Zoom: blocked
The viewport stops pinch-to-zoom (user-scalable=no or maximum-scale=1): people with poor eyesight can't read.
Tap to call: yes
On a phone, one tap calls: the number on the page is a tel: link.
HTML weight: 86 KB
Light: images, styles and scripts download separately and are not counted here.
Server response: normal
The homepage HTML arrived in 1.8 seconds. That's server time, not the full load on a phone.

The viewport
The meta viewport with width=device-width: without it, a phone draws the page 980 pixels wide and shrinks it. It was the first check of Google's test too.
Zoom and tap to call
Whether the viewport blocks zoom (user-scalable=no) and whether the page has a tel: link, the number you call with one tap.
Weight and response
How heavy the homepage HTML is and how long the server takes to send it. Not text or button size: those need the page drawn by a browser, and we say so.
Three answers, never a guess
A check from outside sees the HTML the site sends, not what scripts add later. That is why there are three answers.
- Found
We read it, and it is there. With proof: the ID, the record, the piece of code.
- Not found
We read it, and it is not there. We only say so when the page could have contained it.
- Not read
It couldn't be read, and we tell you why: Tag Manager, a timeout, a robots.txt. It's not a no.
Why it matters
People looking for a plumber, a dentist or a restaurant almost always do it on their phone, often to call straight away. A site that opens zoomed out, blocks zooming or makes you copy the number by hand loses exactly that call.
Google shut down its Mobile-Friendly Test in December 2023, but the problem stayed: for anyone who builds websites it's the easiest flaw to show, because the owner sees it on their own phone while you talk.
Frequently asked questions
How do I know if a website is mobile-friendly?
Type the address above: the test reads the homepage and checks the viewport, zoom, tap to call, HTML weight and server response. If the viewport is missing the site isn't mobile-friendly: it's the only sure verdict without drawing the page.
Is Google's Mobile-Friendly Test gone?
Yes: Google retired the Mobile-Friendly Test and the Search Console Mobile Usability report on 1 December 2023, and points to Lighthouse. This test reads the same basics from the HTML, in a few seconds and with no account.
Why doesn't it check text and button size?
Because measuring them needs the page drawn by a browser, with its styles and scripts. Here we read the HTML the server sends: saying “text too small” without seeing it would be guessing.
Does the test read the whole site?
No: only the homepage, once, the way a browser receives it, and respecting the site's robots.txt. Other pages usually share the same viewport, but they can't be seen from here.
Do you store the sites I check?
No. The result stays in memory for ten minutes, so the same site isn't read twice if you check it again, then it's gone. To stop abuse we count how many checks come from each IP address, without storing the address.
Can I find businesses whose sites aren't mobile-friendly?
Yes: on Veezco type, for example, “restaurants in Bristol not mobile friendly”. Veezco searches live, checks each website and gives you the contacts. Your first 25 leads are free every month, no card.
